VIRTUAL REALITY AS CHAMELEON-LIKE ENVIRONMENT

Abstract. Today in social sciences one can find references to the concept of chameleon-like environment. Nevertheless, the author could not find arrangement of this term and the approach to assessing social reality following from it in the history of social and philosophical thought. In this regard, the purpose of the article can be designated as an attempt to analyze origins, meaning and problem area of the term "chameleon-like environment" and its application in the analysis of virtual reality. In the paper processes of individualization of information space and construction of a personal information microcosm of the user are considered as consequences of human interaction with chameleon-like virtual environment.
