PHILOSOPHICAL COMPREHENSION OF MYTH IN THE MODERN WORLD

Abstract. The article reveals philosophical comprehension of myth in the modern world in connection with transformations of public consciousness. Topicality of the study is determined by mythologizing the consciousness of the modern man and society that specifies sociality of his/her behavior and world outlook orientations. Novelty of the research results is associated with identification of both essence and specificity of the myth world manifestations in the society, constructiveness and destructiveness of development of remythologization in modern culture, correlation of mythmaking and science, impact of globalization on mythmaking, vitality and viability of myths in the modern society.
