INFLUENCE OF CONFUCIAN ETHICS ON MODERN SCIENTIFIC WORLDVIEW IN CHINA

Abstract. The article discusses Confucian ethics impact on scientific worldview formation in China. Three factors of negative influence of Confucianism on scientific worldview are singled out: restriction of creative activity, priority of interpretation over study, anti-experimental character. The role of Confucianism in initial formation of science in China, gradual transition from the motive factor of science and education development to the dilatory one are shown.
