NATIONAL CULTURE IN THE ERA OF GLOBALIZATION

Abstract. The article deals with interrelation of national culture and modern processes of globalization. The main trends associated with destruction and decline of importance of national culture under influence of spread of mass culture and new ways of communication are analyzed. It is concluded that the process of mutual enrichment of cultures in the era of globalization is the most compromising form for preservation of national self-awareness, national culture and cultural identity.
