FEATURES OF THE CHINESE PIANO MUSIC OF THE SECOND HALF OF THE XX CENTURY

Abstract. The article discusses some features of the piano music of modern China. The authors note the decisive role of the folk song, painting, as well as the Chinese poetry and literature in the formation of China’s piano art, which has an authentic national style. It is emphasized that the elegance of the Chinese classical poetry is reflected subtly in the Chinese music of the early XX century. Many piano works are created by composers on the basis of "gu?hu?" painting. As a result, the paper highlights that compositions based on folk songs and dances, imitating the sound of folk instruments, retain a bright national style, but they also use new devices of compositional techniques that give them modern sounding.
