B. BART?K’S SONATA: CULMINATION OF THE SONATA FOR SOLO VIOLIN GENRE DEVELOPMENT IN THE FIRST HALF OF THE XX CENTURY

Abstract. The article considers the place of B. Bart?k’s Sonata for Solo Violin in the process of the genre evolution in the first half of the XX century. Analyzing in detail B. Bart?k’s Sonata for Solo Violin the author traces the form-generative, stylistic, linguistic, harmonic, structural, interpretational peculiarities of the composer’s technique of the middle of the XX century. The analysis of the Sonata structure reveals the application of the regularities of the numerical Fibonacci sequence and the proportions of the "golden section" point in form-generation by B. Bartok. The paper justifies the variety of the performance versions of this composition.
