IMPERIAL SELF-CONSCIOUSNESS FORMATION: THE MAIN ASPECTS OF THE PROBLEM

Abstract. The article is an attempt of the conceptual analysis of the notion "imperial self-consciousness". The main driving forces of its formation, as well as presentation forms are considered. The genesis of the "imperial" is investigated. The study reveals the importance of the elite part of the imperial society in the process of promoting the imperial idea. The philosophical-psychological category of "self-consciousness" is understood in the context of the historical science relevance. The paper explains the differentiation between "imperial" and "imperialistic". Relying on the methods of phenomenology, the author offers an explanation of the nature of the notion "imperial self-consciousness" and strategies for its research.
