METACOMMUNICATION OF VIRTUALITY: EPISTEMOLOGICAL ASPECTS

Abstract. The article deals with the issues related to the peculiarities of metacommunicative messages of virtual space and their influence on a subject’s cognitive processes. The history of the metacommunication definition emergence and its transformation in the context of various social disciplines and the humanities is described. The author singles out and analyses three groups of metacommunicative messages divided according to the principle of their formation source: technology, interface and virtual communication links. Metacommunicative virtual messages’ influence on a subject’s cognitive processes is analysed.
