ENGINEERING SKILLS FORMATION IN THE LIGHT OF TECHNICAL EDUCATION GAMIFICATION BY THE EXAMPLE OF THE HIGHER ENGINEERING SCHOOL OF THE INDUSTRIAL UNIVERSITY OF TYUMEN

Abstract. The article analyses the phenomenon of technical education gamification. The gamification role in the modern educational process is shown by the example of the "Oil&Gas Industry" project of the Higher Engineering School of the Industrial University of Tyumen. The authors prove the efficiency of game technologies in technical education and conclude that gamification elements stimulate cognitive activity, promote future engineers’ softskills and hardskills, professional knowledge and competence. Gamification experience can be applied when teaching general professional disciplines.
