Historical Tradition in the Swedish Christmas Souvenir: Specificity of Actualization (by the Example of Textiles of the Second Half of the XX Century)

Abstract. The paper aims to show how historical tradition of Christmas celebration is represented in textile patterns. The researcher for the first time provides a comprehensive analysis of Christmas gift textile, mentions names of painters - textile designers, which constitutes scientific originality of the study. The findings indicate that the Swedish Christmas textile patterns of the second half of the XX century represent everyday culture and illustrate careful attitude to national historical heritage.
