Abstract. The paper aims to reveal philosophical and anthropological aspects of Viktor Frankl’s theory. Anthropological problematic is considered as a philosophical basis for understanding human nature in Frankl’s doctrine. The tendency to accentuate anthropological aspects is explained by Frankl’s interest in the problem of the human’s special status in the world in the context of the anthropological turn in the XX-century philosophy. Scientific originality of the study involves identifying influence of M. Scheler’s conceptions on Frankl’s anthropology, both in the aspect of philosophy and in the aspect of his logotherapy. The research findings are as follows: the authors show that Frankl’s philosophical anthropology, focused on the human’s image and worldview, plays an essential role in understanding the human’s ontological status, which allows introducing appropriate conceptions into philosophically oriented therapeutic approaches.
