Abstract. The paper aims to reveal romantic features in music of the Siberian composer Konstantin Lakin. Scientific originality of the study lies in the fact that romantic elements in music are for the first time considered taking into account meaningful and structural peculiarities of compositions of one of the oldest composers of Siberia whose creative work is poorly studied and has not been previously investigated in the given aspect. Relying on the conducted analysis, the researcher identifies romantic features of K. Lakin’s music, such as: focus on an individual’s subjective world, adherence to the program instrumental miniature, prevalence of lyrical tone and monologue, renewal of the musical form of concert and symphony genres.
