Аннотация.
В настоящей статье автором предпринимается попытка критически осмыслить и описать теоретико-методологические аспекты исследования конструкции пути в предшествующем опыте и обосновать целесообразность рассмотрения конструкции с позиций когнитивной лингвистики. Автор также задается целью разработать определение конструкции пути, выделить ключевые параметры, детерминирующие семантическую специфику конструкции, и указать на нерешенные проблемы, связанные с изучением данного лексико-грамматического феномена английского языка.
