Аннотация.
Статья посвящена сопоставительному исследованию психолингвистических характеристик восприятия значения русских и английских идиоматических концептов «бедность / poverty» представителями русского лингвокультурного сообщества. В статье приводится детальный анализ психолингвистических исследований, посвященных проблемам восприятия и распознавания идиоматического значения. На основе анализа лингвистических экспериментов были выявлены ассоциативные реакции, семантическая интерпретация которых обозначила особенности репрезентации идиоматического значения, отражающие стереотипные представления русскоязычных студентов об англоязычном лингвокультурном сообществе в сравнении с сообществом, к которому они себя относят.
