Abstract. This article examines Novosibirsk Region State Archive role as a source for the history investigation of the Siberian workers and peasants’ inspection (1920-1934). Analyzing the materials of various funds, the author focuses on the fund P-288. There is rich and varied material in it, which does not only characterize the Siberian workers and peasants’ inspection activity, but also can be used to analyze the processes that took place during that period in various regions.
