Abstract. The methodological principles of building materials synthesis are suggested that are based on their interpretation as systems with corresponding systemic attributes. On the basis of materials cognitive modelling composites hierarchical structure is worked out. The synthesis algorithm of materials for special purpose is presented that allows optimizing their structure and qualities at each hierarchy level including in case of the contradictory criteria of quality.
