Abstract.
The article reveals the notions “fear”, “anxiety” and difference between them. The authors single out and describe the theories of children’s fears origin and also the main types of fears. Particular attention in this work is paid to the peculiarities of junior school age fears and to their main difference from the fears of pre-school age. The analysis of the data received enabled the authors to conclude that one of the main types of junior school age fears is the fear of loneliness.
