EVOLUTION OF STATUS OF THE USA TACTICAL NUCLEAR ARSENALS IN EUROPE

Abstract.
This article examines some of the military-strategic aspects of the evolution of the status of the USA tactical nuclear arsenals in Europe. The author concludes that in the new world order that replaced the epoch of the Cold War with the confrontation between two forces, the key aspect of the NATO strategic thinking remains the presence of the tactical nuclear stockpiles together with strategic arsenal of the USA and the UK aimed at the containment and deterrence of potential adversaries.
