Abstract. The article sets out a methodology for calculating the parameters of rock mass breakup after blasting; a calculation algorithm that served as a basis for the computer program of the modeling of blasted rock mass breakup in its selective mining is worked out; geoinformational initial data necessary for calculations are presented. The computer model will provide additional information for testing complex excavating mining face and, as a final result, it will enable to reduce the losses and chocking of mineral wealth in the process of ore mining in the open-cast mine.
