Abstract.
The article is devoted to the study of the alternative Indian schools that base their activity upon traditional pedagogy values. The author examines cultural-historical reasons for India refusal from its pedagogical heritage in favor of the western English-language education model in the XIX century and analyzes educators-innovators’ experience aimed at the revival of national school system adapted to modern conditions.
