Abstract.
In the article the problems and prospects of archaeological tourism development in Belgorod region are considered. Belgorod region can become a constituent part of the common tourist space of Russia having excellent prospects for archaeological tourism development, which in the West European countries has already been attracting hundreds of tourists for a long time. Having analyzed the development of this type of tourism the authors come to the following conclusions: archaeological tourism development in the region will favour economic and sociocultural development, the inflow of investments in the region and the development of the tourist infrastructure of the region as well as it will make a major contribution to the structural reconstruction of the regional economy.
