Abstract. The article illustrates the possibilities of using social networks platforms in the Internet to solve the problems of increasing the academic mobility of the Russian universities with communication tools. The substantiation of social networks relevance as a channel of communication with the audience of foreign entrants is represented. The paper describes the experience of creating the account of Tomsk State University in the Chinese social network “Sina Weibo” to promote educational services among students in China.
