Abstract.
The article considers the features of the English adjectives semantics included in the lexical-semantic group “human character” as it is represented in the training course “New Inside Out” by the British publisher Macmillan. The reasons of the difficulties of mastering this vocabulary group by students-philologists and interpreters are revealed. The strategies, by which these difficulties can be successfully overcome, are suggested.
