Abstract.
In the article the modeling techniques of extended geological formations, relief objects and spatial lithological processes by the method of nonlinear regression are presented. Its peculiarities are the functional-factorial principle of models formation and the optimization of their parameters by the method of the approximations of a parabolic top. The reliability of the models is estimated by the proposed double-sided criterion of correspondence with the errors of experimental data. The efficiency of the method is demonstrated by two examples of the modeling of geological formations.
