Abstract.
The article reviews the genre of poem in music of Kazakhstan. The paper considers the aspects of the national interpretation of the genre, the peculiarities of the content and form of poems, their specificity in the creativity of the Kazakh composers. The authors mark the kinship of the poem with the Kazakh traditional art, the use of various performing groups including the Kazakh national instruments.
