Abstract. The article is devoted to the identification of general and specific in practice in scientific knowledge. Specificity is justified primarily by the leading form of practice in this or that science at various stages of its development and by various combinations of practice forms acting in it as a criterion of truth. The generality of the criterion of practice in the paper is justified by the concrete historical role of practice in scientific knowledge in general.
