ROLE OF HYDROCARBON RESOURCES IN GEOPOLITICAL CONFRONTATION

Abstract.
The article examines the role of hydrocarbon resources in geopolitical confrontation, the interconnection of energy shifts and the main stages of planetary space globalization. Hydrocarbon resources are considered as the main tool of the Anglo-American geopolitics, a peculiar catalyst of the process of the formation of the world economy functioning mechanisms. The author reveals the peculiarities of the American geo-energy strategy at the present stage, its influence on the formation of a “new world order”.
