PROBLEMATIZATION OF THE ISSUE “WHAT IS A THING?” IN PHILOSOPHY

Abstract.
The article clarifies and analyzes a problem field specified by one of the key questions of metaphysics: “What is a thing?”. It considers a possibility of the essential characteristic of the thing itself, through determinations, which are attributed to things in themselves, - space, time, and “it”. The author states that the problem field of the question “What is a thing?” includes questions about time and space. The conditions of the constitution of the truth of thing determination are considered.
