PROBLEM OF COMPETENCIES IDENTIFICATION IN LINGUISTICS

Abstract.
The article deals with the problems of the identification and description of competencies types in linguistics. The author gives historical information about the origin of competencies conception in the structure of the language personality, a review of the existing approaches of both domestic and foreign researchers working in such areas of humanities knowledge as linguistic didactics and linguistics, provides a definition of “narrative competence”, determines its structure, proposes to single out in its composition speech, discourse and genre competencies.
