POETIC SIGN IN STRUCTURE OF URBAN GRAFFITI-SYMBOL MEANING

Abstract.
The article studies the symbolism of graffiti as a phenomenon of modern urban culture and a symbolic means of the complex hierarchical communication system of the social semantics of the urban world. Basing on semiotic method the author pays attention to the social-philosophical reflection of the symbolic content (semantics) of graffiti as a whole, and the symbolic role of the phenomenon, its semantic component. The general systematization of graffiti empirical material and its classification are implemented. Poetic sign is singled out for analysis and interpretation, and it is considered as a structural component of graffiti messages in urban space.
