Abstract.
The article opposes the Christian treatment of the problem of life meaning to search for the truth of life in the realities of historical existence. The mental result of the transcendent idealized Christian version of the meaning of life and its apparently opposite real-historical version is splitting the man’s consciousness. The authors propose ontological approach to the problem of life meaning, which fixes the meaning of human existence in the rootedness of the man in being.
