ROLE OF ETHNO-RELIGIOUS FACTOR IN MODERN POLITICAL PROCESSES

Abstract. The article examines the influence of the ethnic and religious peculiarities of population on political processes in the world. The author justifies the conception of ethno-religious factor and analyzes its importance in the modern political life of developed and developing countries; examines the problem of the inadequacy of state borders and administrative and territorial division within countries to the habitation areas of ethnoses. The paper actualizes the problem of separatism, identifies the basic reasons for such inadequate surveying and establishing state borders, reveals the key factors for ethno-religious conflictogenity in countries. The researcher identifies the level of the dependency of the formation of unified national political and geographical complex in countries on the ethno-religious structure of their population.
