Abstract.
The article analyzes the peculiarities of the social composition of the collective farms of the South of Russia in the 1930s and their administrative-managerial machinery. The degree of the impact of the class policy of the Communist Party on the formation of the managerial machinery of collective farms is specified, the correlation and specific weight of the representatives of various social groups in this machinery are revealed, and the participation of workers in “collective farm building” is illustrated. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the position, which “kulaks” took at collective farms.
