Abstract.
The article is devoted to the problem of developing the consistency of students’ speech while studying higher mathematics at technical higher school. The paper analyzes the conception of speech consistency, reveals its provisions. The authors conclude that the study of the basic rules of logic plays an essential role in developing the consistency of students’ speech. It is proposed to use the elements of mathematical logic while proving certain theorems of higher mathematics course. The researchers examine the structure of the proof of one of Fermat’s theorems from the viewpoint of mathematical logic.
