Abstract.
The article examines the issues of the social adaptation of first-year students to educational process at higher school by the example of National Research University “Moscow Power Engineering Institute”. The author has laid theoretical foundations for conducting social-adaptive practice at higher school aimed to accelerate the process of freshmen’s adaptation to higher school educational environment, on which the further professional career and personal development of a future specialist largely depend.
