Abstract.
The article focuses on the changes in the social structure of the Ukrainian village under the influence of transformational processes. The author concludes that prospects for the further social development of the peasantry depend on the rate and nature of the functioning of three basic sectors of agricultural production - family, farmer and large-scale (industrial) ones.
