MACHINE-TRACTOR STATIONS OF THE REPUBLICS OF THE VOLGA-VYATKA ECONOMIC REGION AT THE BEGINNING OF THE GREAT PATRIOTIC WAR (1941-1943)

Abstract. The article describes various aspects of the activity of the machine-tractor stations (MTS) of the autonomous republics of the Volga-Vyatka economic region at the beginning of the Great Patriotic War (1941-1943). Particular attention is paid to the process of the restructuring of the work of the MTS of the region in the conditions of the war; carrying out the measures to mobilize and maximize the use of all the production reserves in order to maintain the machine-tractor fleet in workable condition; difficulties and challenges in the solution of these problems and their negative impact on the operating results of the MTS of the region; the restructuring of all the work on a war footing, the maximum use of all the available production reserves, the negative impact of the war on the performance of the MTS of the republics.
