Abstract.
The article is devoted to studying the lexical-semantic peculiarities of K. Kuliev’s poetical works language rich in colour designating components in the form of single lexemes or word combinations. The paper analyzes the metaphorical and symbolic opposition of certain basic colour designating terms as to binary opposition, by which the world outlook attitude to reality is manifested. The author studies the generative and modifying peculiarities of qualitative adjectives compatible with abstract nouns, the role of emotional-expressive meaning in developing the linguo-chromatic picture of the world. The paper focuses on the cases of emphatic constructions formation with the help of prepositional particles.
