Abstract.
The article presents an analytical survey of the latest achievements in the Trans-Baikal Old Belief historiography. The considerable quantitative growth of the scientific publications devoted to the Trans-Baikal Old Believers, or the Semeiskie, as they are called in the krai, has recently transformed into the quality of a fundamental encyclopedic work created by outstanding experts in these complicated and important sphere. The historical and cultural encyclopedia “Buryatia’s Old Believers (the Semeiskie)” came out as a scientific paper of such value. The author focuses on analyzing the originality of this epochal publication and its potentials for further researches.
