Abstract.
By the example of the tourist guide on Quebec “Tout savoir sur le Quebec” and its authorial translation the article gives a general characteristic of such texts. The principal difficulties occurring while translating a tourist guide are examined, in particular the problem of realities translation. As a result of the conducted analysis of the used translation transformations the main principles and recommendations of tourist guides translation are formulated.
