ACTIVITY OF THE UKRAINIAN CULTURAL CENTER “DZHERELO” IN TOMSK IN THE 1990-2000S

Abstract. The Ukrainians belong to the most numerous ethnic-disperse groups in Tomsk region ranking third in numerical composition after the Russians and the Tatars. The article considers the history of formation and the stages of activity of the National Ukrainian Cultural Center “Dzherelo”. The author analyzes the reasons for the emergence of this organization in historical context, and reveals the significance of this national and cultural association activity.
