Abstract. The aim of the work is to analyze changes in the level of the thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH) and the free thyroxin (fT4) in blood serum of corpses with various causes of death (violent and non-violent) in order to justify the possibility of using this method in forensic medicine. The main elements of regulation of the thyroid gland function are described.
