"COLOUR RUSH" AT THE BEGINNING OF WORLD WAR I

Abstract. The question of the influence of industrial technologies on the organization of uniform deliveries for Russian army is considered. The main attention is paid to the lack of dyes for cloth khaki coloration and to the arrangements of quartermaster service to solve this problem. It occurred not only because of the beginning of war but also because of the lack of dyes in the Russian industry. During World War I the development of Russian aniline-dye industry started.
