Abstract.
The article presents the philosophical analysis of the civilization and value-cultural sources of religious extremism in Muslim cultures. Islam movement extremist activity is considered in the light of the problem of modern secular West and Muslim East civilizations conflict. Martyrdom moral ideal evolution is traced in modern radical Islam.
