INITIAL PERIOD OF BLOOD FEUD TRAGEDY GENRE DEVELOPMENT IN ENGLISH RENAISSANCE THEATRE: THOMAS KYD AND HIS FOLLOWERS' TRAGEDIES

Abstract. The author considers the peculiarities of the initial period of blood feud tragedy genre evolution in English Renaissance theatre, thoroughly analyzes Thomas Kyd's play Spanish Tragedy and describes the peculiar features of Kyd's feud tragedy model. The character of using and movement instruments development direction in Thomas Kyd's followers' plays in 1590-1605 are analyzed by the example of J. Marston's play Antonio's Feud.
