Abstract. The author considers the culture theory of one of the distinguished representatives of native culture philosophy - G. S. Knabe. Culture is understood by the researcher as a public consciousness form and is considered as high and low cultures twofold unity. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the different types of the confrontational interaction of the above mentioned components of united integrated society culture.
