PLATO'S IDEALISM AND ARISTOTLE'S CRITIQUE OF THE DOCTRINE ABOUT THE INDEPENDENT EXISTENCE OF IDEAS

Abstract.
The author considers some features of Aristotle's criticism of the doctrine about the independent existence of ideas. In native historical-philosophical tradition it is considered that Aristotle's critical arguments bear a direct relation to Plato's philosophy. The author of the article believes that there is a number of reasons to doubt the sufficient grounds of this conclusion. Also the attempt is undertaken to reveal what really separated the views of two great thinkers but remained beyond the attention of historians of philosophy.
