Abstract.
The author analyzes the church-parish activity in Russian Far East at the end of the XIXth - the beginning of the XXth centuries. The church-parish care of infants is presented as the component of public charity as a whole. It comprised missionary and philanthropic activity, work on asylums creation and also the measures of the material support of infants' families.
