PUBLISHING BUSINESS IN URAL IN THE 1920S-1930S: CENSORIAL CONTROL

Abstract.
The author reveals the little-studied theme of censorial control over publishing and printing business within Ural territory in the 1920s-1930s and shows the variety of control forms and technologies applied by Ural censorial authorities in relation to the production of local typographies and publishing houses. The article is written on the basis of the broad range of sources some of which are for the first time introduced into scientific circulation.
