Abstract.
The article is devoted to the characteristic of the conception and content of the first volume of the documental series of Federal Archival Agency of the Russian Federation Starvation in the USSR. 1929-1934. The author analyzes the collection documents structure, its basic plots and the authors' estimations of starvation reasons in the USSR at the beginning of the 1930s, the reactions of Stalin's administration to the set starvation and other problem aspects.
